WDS Contracting and Stronghold Construction Announce the Kickoff of the Kickapoo Tribe Economic Development Project Suites of 2024
October 26, 2024 – Oklahoma City, OK – WDS Contracting and Stronghold Construction are proud to announce the official project kickoff of the Kickapoo Tribe Economic Development Project Suites of 2024. This ambitious venture, spanning multiple years, is set to transform the economic landscape of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma, empowering both tribal members and the surrounding communities.
The project kickoff took place over the last two days, marking the beginning of a renewed partnership between WDS Contracting and Stronghold Construction through a progressive design-build model, marking the 3rd alternate delivery project packing for the partnership.
The joint venture will manage the design, development, and construction of four primary sites across Britton Road, McLoud Tribal Complex, Harrah, and Shawnee.
These sites will host a variety of developments aimed at driving economic growth, including:
• Travel Plazas
• A Premier Hotel Venue
• RV Parks
• Grocery Stores
• Roads & Bridges
• Tribal Administrative Offices
• Major Infrastructure Projects
• And numerous other community-impacting initiatives
The projects are specifically designed to stimulate long-term economic development for the Kickapoo Tribe, creating opportunities that will benefit both current tribal members and future generations.
