Stronghold Construction's Journey with the Seminole Nation

Our Backstory and Mission

Stronghold Construction was founded by industry professionals, former service members, and first responders who sought to revolutionize the industry through transparency and accountability. We aimed to redefine the narrative for midsize general contractors by prioritizing alternative delivery methods that actually work for Oklahoma.

The Shift to CM/GC

In the summer of 2023, we partnered with WDS Contracting to manage the first CM/GC (Construction Manager/General Contractor) package for the Seminole Nation. Despite the complexities of the methodology, our team embraced the challenge. The results spoke for themselves:

  • Econtuchka Road: Completed in just 61 days, restoring vital access to tribal housing.

  • Efficiency: The CM/GC approach saved over $1 million and shaved more than a year off the project timeline.

Community-Impact Projects

We are now honored to begin a second package of projects that directly enhance the lives of tribal members:

  1. Mekusukey Mission Infrastructure: Rehabilitation of water and wastewater systems.

  2. Wewoka Indian Health Service Expansion: A massive 10,000+ sq. ft. addition including dental and pharmacy units.

  3. Head Start Expansions & Renovations: Providing critical early childhood education spaces in Seminole and Wewoka.

  4. Tribal Court Facility: Planning and construction of a new two-story court building.

  5. Wellness & Recreation: Adding a swimming pool annex to the Wellness Center and a new disc golf course at Mekusukey Mission.

Looking Forward

For our team, success alone is not sufficient. We are striving for what has been deemed impossible because the Seminole Nation deserves nothing less than our utmost dedication. We look forward to continuing this partnership and contributing to the prosperity of the community.
